Greetings...

Greetings to all--

It has been an eventful week....well, not really.  I'm not sure how to make my life sound interesting.

So...I will use a top ten list....

THE TOP TEN MOMENT'S OF ERIN-STACY's week....

10.  I got a day off Thursday after breaking two toes on the dining room table.

9.    There was enough money left in the bank the day before payday to buy a pizza for dinner.  Sure, the pizza tasted like rolled up cardboard---but---hey, what can you do.

8.   Finding the Ralph Lauren Jeans I have been pining after on sale for 20 bucks at TJ MAXX

7.   Applebee's with Carolyn.  Its always a good time to try to out-do each other with weird teaching stories (She won this week--though, I won the week before when I told her about the kid who dared another kid at lunch to put chocolate-chip cookies in his pants and then made another kid EAT them after they were all......IN HIS PANTS.  (enough said..ewwwwwwwwww)

6.   Finding out that I get to teach Honors again next year if I stick around....

5.  Finding out that certain people may not be around to bother me....

4.  Watching the kids at school dying of heat stroke in 80-degree heat and lmao as I remembered last summer at camp when I was Bible Study leader--in the 117 degree summer heat.  Taking the kids to "air-conditioning" parties--especially the part where they threw everyone in the camp van and took them on a special tour...that was my favorite.  Kids in Ohio do not know what HEAT really is...

3.   Getting re-hired to teach summer school (i.e.--roll in the moolah) and not even having to interview.  I get to teach 10th grade again!!!  YAY!

2.   Brownie actually pooped like 5 times in the poopy potty.  Though, the other 9 times were on my new carpet--I learned to forgive his sweet little 1 lb, 14 oz. self.

1.  KNOWING THAT IT IS A LONG WEEKEND AND I DO NOT HAVE TO GO BACK UNTIL TUESDAY AND AFTER TUESDAY IT IS ALMOST SUMMER AND I GET A WEEK AWAY!!!! WOOOHOOOO...and then summer school starts.  At least it's only 90 degrees in summer school....instead of 117.

THE END

PS:  Anyone have a good remedy for dry feet?  Mine are icky this week.

Greetings and Salutations!

Hello Friends!

Dave and I are just back from a whirl-wind Mother's Day weekend.  We started off Saturday morning bright and early (after having gone to bed at 3!) ---and drove to Ashtabula at 8 AM so that I could get a chipped tooth fixed at my dentist.  Then we went around town and visited some different people I knew so that we could introduce them to Brownie (the cutest puppy ever--he is almost up to two lbs. now!) ---and basically--we spent the rest of the day chilling at Geneva on the Lake and visiting with my Mom--when she got off of work we had dinner and visited some of her friends---then got up at 6 am and drove to Aunt Gail's house for breakfast with Gail and her god-children and a good friend...

Then we drove back up to North Royalton and have been cleaning the house---

It is about 1 PM and we are both chilling out for a bit--we are going to Dave's Mom's house tonight for Mother's Day...

We are going to give her lottery tickets as a gift--she loves the scratch kind--AND--she is REALLLLLLY hard to find something gift-wise for...as she doesn't really "DO" much...I got my mom a gift card to this organic make-up place she loves...and wrote her some stuff....as per my usualness...I find that "Writing as a Gift" is most-likely my favorite thing to do...

Brownie, Dave, and Willy are all sitting in a pile across from me on the sectional....oooohhh---Brownie just toddled over and curled up in my arm as I type---he is so cute---I promise to post pictures as soon as I find the darn computer cords that go with the camera.  Can you buy replacement versions of those?  I think so...I don't really know where though!

Well---I need to rest and then work on my closet and take a shower---

Ciao!!!

Erin -)

3

Three Things

Three Things That Scare Me:
1.  Car accidents

2.  Diseases

3.  Roller coasters/amusement parks with rides you fall from (WHY DOES ANYONE WANT TO FALL DOWN?  I CONSIDER IT A GOOD THING TO AVOID FALLING.  IT HURTS.)

Three People Who Make Me Laugh:

1.  My mom

2.  My aunt

3.  My hubby

Three Things I Love:
1. Family

2.  My animals (Willy, Joshie, and the newest addition;  "Brownie")

Three Things I Hate:
1. My inability to follow through sometimes...

2.  Being lied to

3.  Plagiarism

Three Things I Don’t Understand:
1.  How to tune my violin properly (did I tell anyone yet that I have been taking lessons?)

2.  Cooking things other than the basics

3.  Why my socks never seem to match again after I wash them

Three Things On My Desk:

1.  Framed picture of God-daughter, Rachel (she was the smaller blond flower-girl at the wedding)--in this picture she is running in front of her house at 2 years old, wearing a sailor suit...we had the time of our lives together that weekend.

2.  My Bible (this doesn't mean that I have cracked it open lately--it just means today is Sunday--the desk is by the door...etc.)

3.  Deodorizing Powder Scented Spray (Dave had some serious gas last weekend....I seriously considered jumping out the window to run for cover.  Thankfully, this stuff actually worked.)

Three Things I’m Doing Right Now:
1. Holding a sleeping "Brownie" and "Willy"  (Brownie is our new puppy, by the way).

Three Things I Want To Do Before I Die:
1. Learn to have a more loving and kind heart---thinking before I speak, focusing on the way I should handle life as a child of God...

2.  Hear His voice a lot better

3.  Help as many kids as I possibly can to realize that there is someone out there who loves and appreciates him or her---whether it be through adoption, teaching, my church, or just random kids I have the pleasure of meeting

Three Things I Can Do:
1. Multi-task

2.  Forgive

3.  See all glasses as "half-full"

Three Things I Can’t Do:
1.  Pick up my husband (or heavy groceries for that matter...I always pull the "girl" routine with 24 packs of Diet Dr. Pepper and bigs bags of pet food...it always works)

2.  Find a good brand of blue jeans that I think fit really nicely

3.  At the moment, sleep....it is 5 am and I got up at 4....the new meds. I take are awesome--but sometimes I actually feel too energized!

Three Things I Think I Should Listen To:
1. People who are trying to correct my golf swing (especially when they are registered PGA pros)

2.  My mother and husband (I need to make an effort to combine all of their advice into one and ask God what to do with it).

3.  My students who are in need of an ear...I tend to forget often--that these kids probably would benefit from my just shutting up and hearing what they have to say

Three Things You Should Never Listen To:
1. Me playing the violin

2.  Me playing the piano

3.  Me playing golf and trying to hit my Bubble-Burner Driver...its not pretty

Three Things I’d Like To Learn:
1.  Practical Medicine

2.  Real Estate

3.  The stock-market

Three Favorite Foods:
1. chicken

2.  Anything at Thanksgiving dinner

3.  Dave's spaghetti w/ meat sauce

Three Shows I Watched As A Kid:
1. Full House

2.  Anything on Disney (Mickey Mousersize, Kids Incorporated)

3.  Punky Brewster

Three Things I Regret:
1.  My behavior in high school and college...just the way I treated some people...and the way I treated myself

2.  All the times I worried about EVERYTHING

3.  Not getting on my new PCOS medicine earlier...it has changed my life...

Greetings:-)

The joy of the Lord is our strength!!!

God's blessings pour down in our lives like rain--Dave and I are experiencing these right now--as we come through some storms in our work and family life--His blessings are wrapping us in warmth, love, and jubilation.  My heart sings with joy as I think of all He has been doing for both of us.

We have so many little joys in our lives right now--- I can't even write each one down---God is good, all the time.

PS:  Prayers to those of you who may have known someone in the madness at Virginia Tech right now...

Easter Greetings!

I think today was the first time ever on Easter that I did not go to church...

We are snowed in...

Last week, it was 82 degrees.  I had on the air-conditioning.  Yesterday it was 24 degrees.  I do not understand why I live in Ohio...I really do not get it.  Why would anyone ever move here to begin with??? WHY?

Yesterday, Dave was actually off of work--so we met my Mom and Aunt in Mentor for Easter dinner at a Mexican restaurant   Then we went to PetsMart...this is a true Easter Celebration for us   hahah...Dave and I then went to the dollar movie theater in Willoughby Hills---we went on our first date there...well, yesterday we saw "Night at the Museum"--it was actually quite good---worth more than a dollar---you all should see it!!!

THEN---all heck broke loose.  We were driving through the Cleveland ghetto and our windshield wipers broke--this is when the snow started---and this was not a good situation.  Dave also happened to be wearing the wrong colors--so as we were trying to fix the wipers...he was afraid of getting shot.

Well...we did NOT get the wipers fixed...we did, however, managed to get stranded at a Walgreens in the ghetto...triple A said they would not be coming until midnight.  This is when we decided to drive in the snow with no wipers to Dave's mom's house...

Where they gave us SHOELACES.

This is how we got home---yelling "Uno , Dos"  "One, Two"  "Me, You" as we manually wiped the windshield.

It was really special.

Due to being snowed in...we are not at church...instead, we are sitting in our living room watching "The Ballad of Ricky Bobby"---this will be followed with:

"Spaceballs"

"Mean Girls"

"Camp Nowhere"

And whatever other movies we pull out for our Easter movie marathon...to be finished with a viewing of "Passion of the Christ"

Easter blessings to all of you!!! Leave me some comments if you read this---I want to know you are all still alive!!!
